Aberdeen based asset management support company, Latent Ltd, has secured a contract with Shell International Exploration and Production, The Netherlands.
Under the agreement Latent Ltd will act as a service provider for Shell and will be working at various Shell locations worldwide. The contract is estimated to be worth potentially several million pounds over its three years and will also lead to new personnel being recruited.
This will increase the number of Latent Ltd staff working on or at Shell locations worldwide considerably.
The scope of the contract is to deliver maintenance and integrity services for Shell, including data quality improvement, performance standards and identification of safety critical elements.
Managing Director of Latent Ltd, Dave Watson, said of the contract, “This contract is a clear recognition of the value that the services provided by Latent Ltd add. We have worked with Shell since 2004 and this three year contract further cements our relationship.“
The company is also in the position to recruit seven new staff to service the Shell contract. These will be in addition to the three staff currently engaged full time on Shell work and will bring the number of Latent staff up to sixteen. We are committed to growing the company further in Aberdeen, and the new personnel will allow us to meet Shells need achieving this.
